Electric City Scooters Christchurch Terms and Conditions – This policy applies for all tour bookings
Electric City Scooters operates small groups of tours and day trips around Christchurch City on our electric scooters in mostly dry weather conditions due to the potential damage that can be caused to the scooters by water.
Our tours are age restricted to 18 years and over and we may ask for identification for proof of age.
We reserve the right to refuse any person if we consider them unfit to take our tour for any reason.
We will provide all necessary safety equipment and basic training on how to operate the scooters safely, however it is the responsibility of the Customer to adhere to the instructions given and the correct use of the safety equipment provided.
The Customer is required to abide by and adhere to all local laws and traffic regulations and instructions from the tour operator.
Online Booking System – Standard Terms and Conditions
1. Agreement between Customer and Electric City Scooters
This website is offered to you, the Customer, conditional on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of this website constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices.
In these terms and conditions, “we” and “us” means Electric City Scooters.
2. Access to the website and Content
We will endeavour to allow uninterrupted access to the website, but access to the website may be suspended, restricted or terminated at any time.
We reserve the right to change, modify, substitute or remove without notice any information on the website from time to time.
3. Intellectual Property
The copyright in the material contained in the website, together with the website design, text and graphics, and their selection and arrangement, belong to Electric City Scooters. All rights are reserved. None of this material may be reproduced or redistributed without our written permission. You may, however, download or print a single copy for your own non-commercial off-line viewing.

5. Exclusion of Liability for Supplier’s Goods and Services
We provide information for a number of suppliers on the website. We can accept no liability for any goods or services provided by third party suppliers. All goods or services are provided by third parties over whom we do not have control and you should satisfy yourself that you wish to purchase those goods or services before contracting with the supplier. The suppliers will be supplying on their own standard terms and conditions and you should check that you agree to those terms and conditions before placing an order.
6. Use of the Booking System
The booking system provided on this website is provided solely to assist customers in determining the availability of our tours and to make legitimate reservations or otherwise transact business with suppliers, and for no other purposes. You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement and to use this website in accordance with all terms and conditions herein. You agree to be financially responsible for all of your use of this website (as well as for use of your account by others, including, without limitation, minors living with you). You agree to supervise all usage of this website by minors under your name or account. You also warrant that all information supplied by you or members of your household in using this website is true and accurate. Without limitation, any speculative, false, or fraudulent reservation or any reservation in anticipation of demand is prohibited. You agree that the travel services reservations facilities of this website shall be used only to make legitimate reservations or purchases for you or for another person for whom you are legally authorised to act. You understand that overuse or abuse of the tour services reservation facilities of this website may result in you being denied access to such facilities.
Separate terms and conditions may apply to your tour booking and services that you select. You agree to abide by the terms or conditions of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal, including, but not limited to, payment of all amounts when due and compliance with all rules and restrictions regarding availability of fares, products, or services. You shall be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of the use of this website.
7. Reservations and Payments
At the time of booking, payment by credit card via Paypal shall be made for the full amount of each booking in New Zealand dollars. You will then receive a booking confirmation and reference number for each booking. You will need to use that reference should you wish to refer to your booking(s) at a later date. You will also receive tour information for each booking which will be emailed to your nominated email address.
8. Customer Validation
You may be required to provide a credit card at check-in/arrival to cover incidental charges and may also be required to provide photo ID.
9. Email and Passwords
You may be required to provide additional information in conjunction with your e-mail address in order to book tours on the website. The e-mail address and additional information may be used to contact you for booking confirmation and marketing purposes.
Your e-mail and password are the methods used by us to identify you and so are very important. You are responsible for all information posted on the website and in booking tours by anyone using your e-mail and password and any payments due for services accessed through the website by anyone using your e-mail address and personal information. Any breach of security of an e-mail and your personal information should be notified to us immediately.
You may not adapt or circumvent the systems in place in connection with the website nor access the website other than through normal operations.
10. Amendments and Cancellations
Cancellation policies are detailed in the checkout stage and on the payment confirmation page prior to final booking confirmation via a link to these terms and conditions.
Where you are entitled to a refund, the refund will be made to the same credit card that you used to confirm the booking.
Cancellation within 72 hours of the tour, will incur a charge a 50% of the total booking cost per person (IE: 50% refund).
Cancellations due to adverse weather conditions that prevent us from operating the tour, will be fully refunded with the exception of any processing and transaction fees.

If you make a booking using a discount code, you will not be able to use that discount code on any subsequent booking amendment. Amendments will be made using the normal price of the tour being amended.
11. No Shows
No refunds or credits will be provided if you fail to advise any amendments to the booking or fail to report at the venue of the operator with the appropriate vouchers issued for that booking on the day and/or time booked.
12. Currency and GST
All prices shown listed on this website are in New Zealand dollars. All prices include the New Zealand Goods and Services Tax.
